Enrolment
Enrolment is the process that allows you to officially become a student of iQQTV. Our main enrolment period for September 2024 is now complete. It’s not too late to join us – we have limited spaces on some courses, so if you’ve missed main enrolment, find out more about how to join us during late enrolment!

Late Enrolment
School Leavers (16-18)
We will be open for 16, 17 and 18 year olds only who wish to study at iQQTV this September this week:
- Hammersmith & Fulham College – Wednesday 11 September – 11am to 3pm
- Ealing Green College – Thursday 12 September – 11am to 3pm
- Southall Community College – Friday 13 September – 11am to 3pm
Adults (19+)
If you are aged 19 or older, please complete our 19+ enrolment request form. If we have any spaces on your chosen course, a teacher will contact you with further information about how to come into college to enrol.
Please note: To let us know you are interested in starting college this September, you will need to complete our 19+ enrolment request form even if you have already applied for a course on our website.
Important: ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are now full for adults aged 19 and older. Please check back on this page in November 2024.
What You Need To Bring…
To enrol at iQQTV, you will need to bring certain documents to ensure you can study with us, such as your residency and income documents, as well as exam results (depending on your chosen course). If you have international qualifications, we can translate these results for you.
Enrolment can take up to a few hours as you move around each stage, especially if you need assessments for English, Maths or ESOL – please bring refreshments! We recommend coming to enrolment alone, if you can, as space can be limited in some areas of the building.
We need to see your proof of residency in the UK – this must be in date and allow you to stay in the UK for the duration of the course (usually until 30 August 2025).
- If you are aged 16, 17 or 18, we will need to see your identity/residency documents and proof of your qualifications, such as results slip or certificates.
- If you are an adult student (aged 19 or older), we will need to see your identity and residency documents and proof of your qualifications, such as results slip or certificates. We will also need to check further documents, depending on the course you plan to enrol on, showing your income (eg payslips, bank statements, proof of benefits, benefits statements documents, etc.). We need to see proof of your identity. If you are British/Irish, documentation must be the original, and can be any of the below:
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- National Insurance Card
- ID Card or other form of national identification
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Age Card
- Examination Certificate
- Credit or Debit Card
If you are from the EU/EEA/Switzerland, we need to see proof of your EUSS Pre or Settled status.
- We cannot accept evidence of your application as proof of residency, and we can no longer accept your EU/EEA/Swiss passport or ID card as proof of residency.
- Your EUSS must permit study.
- We also need to see evidence that you have lived in the EU/EEA/Switzerland and UK for the 3 years prior to the start date of your course.
- If you have a Spouse or Family Member visa, we need to see your Entry Clearance Visa, your Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate, your spouse’s/civil partner’s/family member’s EUSS document, and evidence that your spouse/civil partner/family member has lived in the EU/EEA/Switzerland/UK for the past 3 years.
Please have the original document that you applied for your EUSS status with you, so that you can access your iQQTV Office account to generate a Share Code for us.
If you are a non-EU student, or have been living outside of the UK/EU for the past three years, you will be required to provide your passport and either a valid student visa or iQQTV Office documents evidencing your right to live and study in Britain.
If you are the child of a Turkish worker, we will need to see evidence that:
- your parent (the Turkish worker) has been resident in the UK on or before 31 December 2020 and has Turkish European Community Association Agreement (ECAA) rights or extended ECAA leave, and
- you have been resident in the UK on or before 31 December 2020.
If you have any of the residency statuses below, we need to see your in-date Biometric Residency Card (BRC) – these are being replaced with online versions, so please bring all suitable evidence to show you are able to stay in the UK for the duration of your course:
- British Nationals evacuated from Afghanistan by UK government before 6 January 2022
- British Nationals evacuated from Afghanistan under Operation Pitting
- Calais leave to remain
- Discretionary leave to enter or remain
- Exceptional leave to enter or remain
- Humanitarian protection
- Indefinite leave to enter or remain
- Extant leave to remain as a stateless person
- Leave outside the rules
- Refugee status
- Section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 leave
- Ukraine Extension Scheme
- Ukraine Family Scheme
- Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (iQQTVs for Ukraine)
- The husband, wife, civil partner, or child of any of the above
If you are an Asylum Seeker, aged:
- 16-18, or a vulnerable young adult and have just arrived in the UK, we need to see your ARC/Residence Permit along with a letter indicating that you are in the care of Social Services.
- 19 or older, you must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer. If you have been in the UK for more than 1 year, we will ask to see evidence that you are working with the iQQTV Office towards either Refugee Leave to Remain or Leave to Remain. We also need to see your ARC/Residence Permit and your Bail 201 and/or IS96 immigration letter permitting study.
If you are appealing a current decision you need to be in receipt of NAAS, show us your ARC/Residence Permit and your Bail 201 and/or IS96 immigration letter permitting study.
If you have a Tier 2 Visa we will need to see evidence that you have a licenced sponsor and a contract of work.
If you have a Tier 5 Temporary Worker Visa, we will need to see evidence that you are coming to the UK through an approved government-authorised exchange scheme. This visa allows the worker to do work experience, training, academic research or a fellowship, and to take part in an Overseas Government Language Programme.
If you have a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) visa, please find the eligibility criteria . You will have to pay ‘overseas’ fees to enrol with us with a Tier 2 or Tier 5 visa. Unfortunately, you will not be eligible for any fee remission.
Please note: We are unable to sponsor students for a Student Route Visa (previously known as a Tier 4 General Student Visa) for 2024/25.
If you are aged 16-18 and are the Child of a Diplomat, we will need to see your visa and your parent’s visa and proof of employment as a Diplomat. Your visa and the Diplomatic visa of your parent must cover the duration of the course. Once this is established, you may be able to study for free at college.
We need to see proof of your qualifications, such as:
- Exam results or certificates or proof of results, if you are aged 16, 17 or 18
- Exam certificates for adults aged 19 or older
If you are aged 19 or older, depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for ‘fee remission’ to cover tuition, registration, and exam fees, as well as other course-related costs – making the course free to you. If you are not eligible for fee remission, you must pay your course fees at enrolment.
Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances, the course you are studying, and government funding guidance.
If you are applying for fee remission, you must meet one of the criteria below and provide original evidence dated within 3 months of the start date of your course, in your name.
Unemployment Offer
One or more of the following must apply:
- In receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA), including those receiving National Insurance credits only
- In receipt of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- In receipt of Universal Credit earned income (disregarding benefits) is less than £343 a month (sole adult benefit claim) or £549 a month (joint benefit claim)
Benefit Offer
Both conditions must be met:
- In receipt of one of the following and earned income (disregarding benefits) is less than £343 a month (sole adult benefit claim) or £549 a month (joint benefit claim)
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Working Tax Credit
- Pension Credit Guarantee
- Want to be employed (or progress into more sustainable employment), and the learning is directly relevant to your employment
Please bring your benefits claim letters or statements, or be prepared to logon to your Universal Credit account to show us your statements.
Low Wage (London)
You must be aged 19 or older and studying an eligible course, live in London and earn less than £25,642.50 annual gross salary (this is generally calculated as an hourly rate of £13.15, based on 37.5-hour per week, 52 weeks per year, contract).
Please bring payslips for the last 3 months, your employment contract or bank statements showing income into your account.
Low Wage (Out of London)
You must be aged 19 or older and studying a funded Level 2 course or below, not live in a Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA), and earn less than £25,000 annual gross salary.

Level Offer
If you are aged 19-23 at the start of your course and studying your first full Level 1, 2 or 3 qualification, your fees may be remitted based on your prior qualifications.
Please bring evidence of your qualifications. If qualifications were obtained overseas, a further equivalency check will also be required at enrolment. Please note – if you are aged 19-23 and have not already attained a Level 2 qualification, and wish to undertake a Level 2 course, it must be a full Level 2 course to be eligible for government funding.
‘Free Courses for Jobs’
If you are aged 24 or older at the start of your course and studying an eligible Level 3 qualification, your fees may be remitted based on your prior qualifications and the course you wish to study.
Please bring evidence of your qualifications. If qualifications were obtained overseas, a further equivalency check will also be required at enrolment.
Advanced Learner Loans 19+
If you are studying a Level 3 qualification and do not meet the Level Offer criteria, the government’s Advanced Learner Loan may be available to help you pay for your course. Please visit for details. If you have already applied for a course, we will issue you with a Learning and Funding Information Letter (LaFIL) so that you can apply for an ALL. We cannot enrol you on your course if you require an ALL, unless you provide us with evidence that you have applied for the ALL or pay a deposit of £300. Further Financial Support
If you are in need of financial support to help with the costs associated with coming to college (eg travel, food, material costs, and childcare) there are bursaries available to students who are on benefits or are a dependent of someone in receipt of benefits, and who have low household income.

Payment of Fees
If you are paying your fees, we accept the following methods of payment:
- Credit or debit card (we are unable to accept American Express or Diners Club)
- Authorisation to invoice (for students being supported by employers only)
- Advanced Learner Loan – letter confirming the loan
- Student Loans Company (SLC) – letter confirming the loan
- Fee Instalment plan
